Course Details
Suitable for:
Individuals with little or no prior experience of coaching who want to take a first step in developing positive coaching skills.
Outline Content:
- What coaching is and what it isn’t
- Different types of coaching conversations
- The GROW model
- Active listening skills
- Powerful questioning skills
- Use of ‘silence’ to enable space for thinking
- A strengths-based, appreciative inquiry coaching mindset
By the end of the course, you will:
- Have an understanding of key concepts, theories and techniques that underpin coaching
- Appreciate the importance of adopting an empowering strengths-based, appreciative inquiry mindset
- Have practised core coaching skills, including active listening, powerful questioning and use of silence
- Have learned the stages of the GROW model and how they build momentum in a coaching conversation
